AFCM Advanced Winter school – Townsville

The Advanced Winterschool available in Townsville during the Australian Festival of Chamber Music seems to have been a best kept secret during recent years! Students who have attended have had extraordinary access to top national and international artists for lessons, masterclasses, mentoring and concerts. They have also performed for AFCM audiences themselves, become involved in helping backstage or turning pages and have socialised with artists preeminent in their fields. They have sometimes expressed surprise that more of their colleagues haven’t heard of the opportunities available to them in early August in North Queensland, but have been delighted to enjoy such an exclusive time themselves.

All advanced students are invited to apply – soloists, duos, trios or quartets. A warm welcome in sunny seaside Townsville is assured, as are first-rate concert experiences and coaching at a highly sensitive and expert level. Fee AUD $200 per student. The AFCM Advanced Winterschool Fee includes:

Up to six sessions each ensemble/individual
