The Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor, Mark Turpin, weave their exotic tale through a program of orchestral music – including the greatest story ever told, Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov, In a Persian Market by Ketelbey, Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances, the Bacchanale from Saint-Saens’ Samson and Delilah, Handel’s Arrival of the Queen of Sheba, plus music from the film Lawrence of Arabia and more.

For that authentic Oriental atmosphere, our hall will be transformed into a Bedouin Tent – with rugs, cushions and woven baskets! A delicious afternoon tea is also included.
