WHO: Do you want to play Celtic music with Irish abandon, folksy whimsy and contagious foot-stomping chops and grooves? SIgn up for your chance to play in a multi-level Irish folk band multi-generational environment. Come to the Celtic Tunes Workshop designed for musicians of all ages and all levels of musicianship.
Youth and adult community musicians welcome. Jump in and participate at your own level. Designed for string players (music is arranged and demonstrated for beginner-advanced players), flute and penny whistle players, acoustic guitarists, bodhran players, Uilleann pipes and button accordion players! Rhythmic grooves, open string drones, chords, harmony and melody parts will be taught by ear and sheet music is provided. Enjoy an informal play-through of learnt music for any observers in the final workshop showcase.
