Graham Moes will be launching his new single ‘Risk’ at West End’s ‘The Bearded Lady’ on Feb 4th, marking his first solo release since 2015.

Aiming to build a dynamic live show as a performer, this show marks the beginning of Moes’s renewed journey as a solo-ist into 2018. Risk is a gut busting groove trap and a well suited flagship single for his solo sound (available on all major streaming services in the coming weeks).

Joining Moes is Cheyne Starkie & The Get Down, and Monique Clare.

Growing up in the mountains of rural Brisbane, Cheyne Starkie developed a love for writing and performing music in high school, playing in a number of bands and touring Aus & Nz with Hemingway, until the start of 2017 when he decided it was time to follow his own passions. Performing throughout 2017 with a number of other musicians as a solo act & trio act, Cheyne put together a band in June with some of Brisbane’s talented musicians, Joshua Gordon (Bass), Oliver Hughes (Keys & Sax) & Jack Railings (Drums) under the name of Cheyne Starkie & The Get Down. This gave Cheyne the option to present different settings and atmosphere based upon the venue being able to perform as a solo act which is a laid back style of Folky, Reggae, Blues against the much more energetic version of the band playing a range of Soul, Funk & Reggae. With a number of great supports, headlining gigs and playing in some of Brisbane & Sunshine Coast’s best venue’s, going into 2018 seems like an exciting year with plans of recording his first Ep & a number of great gigs already lined up with some of brissy’s best bands.

Monique Clare is a cello-weilding singer-songwriter, hailing from the foothills of Mount Coottha. Between a classical cello degree, a Gregorian Chant-infused upbringing, a Beyonce obsession and ongoing explorations into traditional folk from Scotland, Sweden, and the USA, her songs are a melting pot of eclectic influences. This year sees her embarking on a solo project, after years of playing in various folk bands including The Mulberry Collective, Maja and Rhiannon & Monique.

$10 Entry from 7:00pm.
