Mantras On The Mount – Kirtan With The Soul Sistas

The Mantra Room and Mount Gravatt Meditation and Yoga are pleased to present kirtan band, the Soul Sistas. Consisting of the angelic feminine voices of Gayatri dasi, Anah, Angela and Kelly, woven together to create sweet harmonies that will please your ears and touch your heart.
Accompanied by acoustic guitar, violin and drum, the Soul Sistas experience is mellow, meditative and moving mantras yet simultaneously is inspiring and uplifting. This is a rare opportunity to catch these four voices together.
The name “Soul Sistas” comes from the knowledge, found in the ancient yoga scriptures, that we are not the material body, we are, in fact the eternal spirit soul, living within the body. We are all spirit souls and we are all brothers and sisters, because we all originate from the same Supreme Soul. Just like the rays of the sun, emanating from the sun globe, are all the same in essence as the sun itself.
This is a free event, run by donation and the evening also includes a delicious, Middle-Eastern inspired, vegetarian meal and desert. No need to book.
