Monique Clare with cello trio

December 9, 2017 @ 5:30 pm – 8:45 pm
Little Stanley Street Lawns
South Brisbane QLD 4101
Monique Clare is a cello-wielding singer-songwriter, hailing from the foothills of Mount Cootha. Between a classical cello degree, a Gregorian Chant-infused upbringing, a Beyonce obsession and ongoing explorations into traditional folk from Scotland, Sweden, and the US, her songs are a melting pot of eclectic influences. This year sees her embarking on a solo project after years of playing in various folk bands including The Mulberry Collective, Maja and Rhiannon & Monique.

This performance is part of Brisbane’s free live music program, City Sounds. As part of City Sounds, South Bank hosts free live music performances Saturday from 3-8pm. The artists change each week, so there’s always to plenty of new music to enjoy. For more information, head to the official City Sounds homepage.
