Music of Philip Glass and Tenzin with Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra in Honor of one of the most influential composers of the late 20th and early 21stcentury, Philip Glass.

Join us for this, one night only, special event. Experience Tenzin’s voice and virtuosity alongside the majesty of Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra. Tenzin’s friendship and collaboration with Camerata extends back to 2009. Katherine Philp’s arrangements will take Tenzin’s songs and storytelling to even greater heights.

Legendary composer Philip Glass has collaborated with Tenzin on a number of projects. Tenzin is a regular guest at Philip’s Tibet House Benefit Concerts at Carnegie Hall and they recently performed together in Japan. The program will include selected works by Philip Glass and from Tenzin’s collaboration with Camerata. The concert is being performed to mark Glass’s 80th birthday and honour his unwavering support for Tibet and HH the Dalai Lama who has not seen his homeland since 1959.
