New Year’s Eve by the Brisbane River is always spectacular at the BJC and 2017 we’re throwing a wild 20s party filled with decadence and surprise! Our hot band kicks off with a set of old time, feel-good blues led by Tnee Dyer followed by hit cabaret show ‘The Roaring Twenties’ featuring singer/actor Melissa Western. Meet fabulous characters like diva Greta Weill from Berlin, Big Mamma bringing the blues from New Orleans, Parisian showgirl Coco L’amure, and New York moll Mae Kelly. The lead up to midnight is a final set of uptempo hot jazz featuring Malcolm Wood (trumpet) and Shenzo Gregorio (violin) to usher in the new year.
Come dressed in 20s style and become the speakeasy set celebrating the Roaring Twenties in a smoky, authentic experience of twenties hedonism.
The Roaring Twenties cabaret has toured extensively through Queensland to rapturous crowds and is inspired by the thrilling hedonism of film releases including The Great Gatsby, Midnight in Paris and Chicago. NYE at the BJC will charm you into the smoky, glitzy, ritzy speakeasy lifestyle of the hot Jazz Age.
Enjoy a sumptuous three course meal prepared by Story Bridge Hotel chefs and dance the night away to the dynamic Melissa Western (vox), Tnee Dyer (keys/vox), Malcom Wood (trumpet/vox), Shenzo Gregorio (violin), Luke McIntosh (bass), Jacob Mann (drums).
With a wild cabaret, fabulous style, dancing and more, don’t miss this spectacular party!
