Southern Cross Soloists – Rhapsody

Southern Cross Soloists, Ensemble in Residence at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, will present Rhapsody, an enchanting program of lyrical and rhapsodic masterpieces as part of the Musical Melodies Concert Series.

For this very special concert the stage will be set in full Concert Hall mode, where all of the drapes are removed and the true beauty and acoustic excellence of the Concert Hall is revealed. This will be a wonderful opportunity to hear this unique chamber music ensemble comprising of leading musicians from around Australia, performing in what is considered to be one of the best Concert Halls in the Queensland region. The concert will also be introduced by RPAC Creative Arts Manager Zane Trow, which will give many Musical Melodies patrons a chance to meet the RPAC Manager for the first time.

From Ravel’s fantastically twirling La Valse, to Debussy’s gem Rhapsody for clarinet to Gershwin’s revolutionary Rhapsody in Blue, this program will charm and delight.
