Tin Star – Presented by The Bug

Penny Boys (Vocals, Guitar) Cathy Bell (Fiddle, Accordian, Harmony Vocals) Dan Grant (Vocals, Guitar) Tin Star are renowned for their ability to create a space in which to connect emotionally with an audience and have a musical conversation. The combination of three powerful singer/songwriter/instrumentalists makes Tin Star unique and creates a group that is far greater than the sum of its parts. Whilst they have the pre-requisite acoustic guitars, fiddle, accordian and the interweaving harmonies, their sound is more reminiscent of the burgeoning folk scene of 60’s New York and California. Back to the coffee houses of Greenwich Village and artists such as Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, Peter Paul and Mary, and the burgeoning west coast Laurel Canyon scene of Crosby Stills Nash, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and the Mamas and the Papas.
