How would if feel to play on a violin that is really part of history from the classical period? An instrument from a maker that Beethoven thought was good enough to buy a viola from!

Vienna 1778:

Three years before Mozart settled in Vienna, master violin maker Sebastian Dallinger was putting the finishing touches on this violin in his workshop. He was located in Himmelpfortgasse, in the Kärntner quarter.

It was a prosperous time in Vienna with huge new building projects being commissioned and plenty of work for musicians and composers. Dallinger is one of the best known Vienese violinmakers along with Mathias Thir.

The violin was probably made for one of the violinists in one of the orchestras of the time. Vienna was the capital city of the huge Austro Hungarian empire at the time.

Beethoven Later owned a viola made by this Sebastian Dallinger.

Now you really can own a piece of History.
