Come and be carried away by the combination of beautiful voices and authentic baroque instruments, followed by a feast of fine food.
Once again, due to popular demand, Vox Caldera chamber choir is teaming up with string ensemble Alchemy to perform Mozart, Schütz, and Monteverdi, among others.
After the concert, stay wrapped in the magic for a little while longer and enjoy pre dinner sparkling wine, followed by a three course Middle Eastern feast, catered for by renowned cookery author and Art Piece gallery director, Nadine Abensur.
Nadine’s clientele has previously included Paul and Linda McCartney and Annie Lennox so we think it will be okay!
Vox Caldera is twenty velvety voices directed by much acclaimed pianist, composer and conductor Nicholas Routley who moved to the Northern Rivers in 2009 after retiring from his post as Associate Professor in Music at the University of Sydney. He was founder director of the Sydney Chamber Choir for thirty years.
Nicholas will host a Question and Answer session between the concert and dinner. If there aren’t enough questions Nicholas will just talk about himself which is quite interesting too!
The Alchemy ensemble is directed by outstanding musician Bridget Crouch who has had lessons from the best in Europe since the age of 4 and who currently performs in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Bridget plays Baroque violins & viola, along with Margaret Connolley and Margaret Caley. Belinda Mainwaring is on Baroque cello.
