A tumbling commotion of musicians and acrobats collide in an explosive collaboration of contemporary circus and music from the English Baroque.

A pasticcio created by Paul Dyer and Yaron Lifschitz with music by Purcell, Playford and Dowland.

Our first collaboration with Circa French Baroque in 2015 won a Helpmann Award. In 2017 Spanish Baroque was a sold out sensation.

In 2019 English Baroque becomes the third daring collaboration between the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and Circa. An inspired pasticcio by Paul Dyer and Yaron Lifschitz, with music from 16th and 17th-century England and featuring the beautiful voice of soprano Jane Sheldon, English Baroque will have you gripping your seat and gasping in awe. This breathtaking combination of Circa acrobats and Brandenburg musicians will have you spellbound from the first note to the last.

English Baroque will be launched in May 2019 in a world premiere performance at the Canberra International Music Festival on the eve of its 25th anniversary before touring to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
