The Nambour Junior Eisteddfod was revived in 1967, previous to this an Eisteddfod had been held in the 1930’s and 1940’s.

The main aim was to showcase the talents of the young people, to give them experience before an audience and to be build self-confidence. the music section consisting of piano, organ, and call was held in the Masonic Hall, Blackall Terrace, Nambour with just one adjudicator. School choirs performed in the old civic hall in Currie Street.
