Lachlan O’Donnell (Violin)

Lachlan is a versatile performer, working across Australia as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral musician. He is a regular guest of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, appearing on both their international and national subscription tours. He also works with the Queensland, Melbourne and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras, Orchestra Victoria and the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra. As a soloist Lachlan has been broadcast live on ABC Classic FM, 3MBS and SRF2 Swiss radio, and has performed concerti with the Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra and ACO Collective, the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s regional touring ensemble. As a chamber musician, Lachlan has appeared with the Southern Cross Soloists, eighth blackbird, the White Halo Ensemble, and Ensemble Urbane, playing at festivals both within Australia and abroad. He is a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith Univeristy and the Australian National Academy of Music, and is currently completing an MPhil (Perfomance) at the University of Queensland.

Alex Raineri (Piano)

Alex Raineri, described by Limelight Magazine as “a soloist of superb skill and musicality,” is currently based in Brisbane and an active soloist and chamber musician. Performance experience includes tours of California, South-East Asia, England, New Zealand, Germany and a vast amount of recital and chamber music engagements in Australia including regular broadcasts on ABC Classic FM and the MBS Networks. He has performed concertos with the Queensland, Tasmanian, Darwin and West Australian Symphony Orchestras, Orchestra Victoria, Queensland Pops Orchestra and the Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 2014, Alex was the winner of the Australian National Piano Award and Kerikeri International Piano Competition. He is the pianist and co-artistic director of the contemporary ensemble Kupka’s Piano and pianist with the Southern Cross Soloists.
