Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s Carnival in Venice is heading to Redland City
Hop on the gondola with Queensland’s largest performing arts company and conductor Daniel Carter for a cruise up the Grand Canal with the best music from Venice.
La Serenissima, Venice, arguably the most beautiful city in the world, has inspired artists of all genres to create masterworks. Venetians such as Giovanni Gabrieli, Antonio Vivaldi and Lorenzo Da Ponte (who created the librettos for Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Marriage of Figaro and Così fan tutte) have given us some of history’s sweetest music.
Program highlights include Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Strauss’ A Night in Venice Overture, Sullivan’s Masquerade Suite from The Merchant of Venice and Mozart’s Overture to Così fan tutte.
