Martin Reese: No not the Astronomer Royal. Our Martin is hot on String Theory. Banjo and Mandolin string theory that is. A pleasure to listen to. Makes you wonder why angels weren’t issued with mandolins instead of harps. When I first heard him he was playing tenor banjo. I was in awe that anyone could make a banjo sound so sweet.
John Drury: An artist on upright bass and bodhran. No. Not at the same time. John gives a solid foundation to the whole group.
John Logan: Guitar and vocals. The golden haired boy. Did not win the Eurovision Song Contest.He’s a bundle of Dynamite is the Wee Man.
Randal Mathews. Fiddle and Viola. As the poem says” He can play anything from God Save the Queen to Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata”. More likely to give you jigs and reels. One of Australia’s finest traditional fiddlers. Along with John Logan and Adrian Jeffries one of the founder members of The Jar.
You don’t need Whisky in this Jar. They are potent enough without it.
