Andrew Shaw Presents… performs music of Andrew Shaw written over the last twenty years. A diverse range of influences collected along the way are on display through the different compositions. It is an ensemble with a floating personnel and this is the first time this combination of great players has been convened. The band will also be performing some works by jazz greats including Mingus, Monk and Holland. Andrew Shaw – contrabass , James Ryan – tenor saxophone (SYDNEY), John Reeves – pianoforte , Shenton Gregory – violin and Thomas Robb – trap drums and cymbals .
