Bella España – Presented by Southern Cross Soloists

Bella España with Slava Grigoryan, Guitar / Alex Raineri, Piano

Acclaimed guitarist Slava Grigoryan and pianist Alex Raineri join the Southern Cross Soloists to present Bella España, a fiery program of Latin-influenced works celebrating dance and romance.

Works by Rodrigo and De Milan are paired with the flaming sounds of Villa Lobos’ Guitar Concerto and the enchanted De Falla piano concerto – Nights in the Garden of Spain. Also featured are Latin-inspired works by Australian composer Daniel Rojas, Russian composer Shchedrin and Vivaldi’s famous La Folia – a wild and frenetic Spanish dance once deemed too risqué for women!
