Ewan MacKenzie and Swing Dynamique, fresh from our recent OzManouche Festival are excited to present Melbourne’s Kelsey James as featured vocalist. The interplay of guitarist Ewan MacKenzie, violinist Jan Van Dijk and clarinettist Dan Cosgrove, joined by Miranda Deutsch on guitar and Rick Caskey on double bass, gives a dynamic display of virtuosity in the Jazz Manouche style. They have crafted a repertoire of intricate and exciting self-penned tunes interspersed with classics of the genre. 9pm – 10pm

The Min/Svoboda/Hawkins Trio presents an evening of contemporary jazz playing that explores their own compositions and arrangements together with special guest vocalist Kristin Berardi. Drawing inspiration from their favourite musicians – most notably the work of Keith Jarrett, Charlie Haden and Brian Blade – they share an overall desire to approach improvisation with a sense of open-mindedness and adventure. 7.30pm – 8.30pm
