Rebecca Chan (violin) and Jeremy Eskenazi (piano)

Rebecca Chan was born in Melbourne and grew up in regional Victoria. She completed degrees in Medicine and Arts and studied violin with William Hennessy at the University of Melbourne before her main music studies at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) and the Sydney Conservatorium with Alice Waten. Rebecca has been soloist with many of Australia’s major orchestras, including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Canberra Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria and Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, and has also performed as soloist in Europe. In 2010 she was a prizewinner at the International Citta di Brescia Violin Competition. Rebecca was a member of the Australian Chamber Orchestra from 2010-2015 and is a member of the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra and the Australia Piano Quartet.

French pianist Jeremy Eskenazi is a sought-after soloist, chamber musician, scholar and adjudicator. Jeremy is a holder of a PhD in Performance Practice from the Royal Academy of Music (University of London). He has performed in many venues, such as the Festival Chopin in Paris, the Queen Elizabeth Hall and Saint-Martin-in-the-Fields in London, the Holywell Music Room in Oxford, and the Istanbul Opera House. In 2006, Jeremy founded the Muzio Clementi Society, which has become an authoritative online source of information highlighting Clementi’s significance as a composer, publisher, instrument maker, and as ‘the father of the piano’.
