On Saturday the 16th July at Lake Kawana Community Centre, Bokarina commencing 7pm, you will hear this spacious building reverberate with musical flavours of the British Isles.

You are invited to taste and savour such delicacies such as Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture and then Louise King 3be transported to the South of England with Elgar’s beautiful Cello Concerto in E minor played by the highly acclaimed cellist Louise King!

One of the many highlights of the concert will also be the Elgar’s subtle String Serenade and then Holst will be featured with his boisterous Suite for Band No.2 in F played by the tutti wind and percussion section of the orchestra.

You, the audience, will be carried again to the far North of Scotland when Louise and the orchestra perform Max Bruch’s moving and poignant Adagio on Celtic Melodies.

Concluding the programme will be the greatly loved English Folk Song Suite by the ‘Father of English music’ – the renowned Ralph Vaughn Williams.

This superb kaleidoscopic tasting programme will be performed for you by the superb Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Adrian King.
