Septets on Sunday will feature 2 major works by French composer Camille Saint-Saens (op 65, 1881) and German composer Richard Strauss’ Metamorphosen (1945, but only discovered in 1990). The performers are all professional musicians based in Brisbane, with guest appearance from Martin Winter (trumpet), who is on sabbatical from Norway where he plays in the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra.
