This is the shortest day and the longest night in the year. From now on, the days are getting longer and spring is just around the corner. To celebrate this wonderful lunar, seasonal event, we are planning a community gathering here at Ecobotanica.

Our new 7 circuit classical Labyrinth will be finished so we will have candle light labyrinth walks.

We will have a drumming welcome where you can also play the drums.

Our guest band is The Leaping Lizards, bush band. They are a wonderful local band with Celtic roots. It’s a great priveledge to have them along. They’ve just won an award and were finalists in other categories at the Australian Celtic Music awards. Listen to their music here. You may even feel up to some impromtu dancing or jigging?

What to Bring: Rugs, warm winter woollies and chairs and a small dish of food to share. Bring your drinks. We will have tea and coffee and water. We are a non-smoking venue

The cob oven will be fired up so we will cook up some fresh cob-cooked vegies and damper from the cob oven to share around too. Sit among the towering trees, explore the vegie patch and orchard and enjoy the evening with the night sounds all around.

Cost: It’s just a small donation of $15 per person 18 and over, paid on the night, to support the drumming facilitator and band. Children under 18 are free.

Call me to book in please as numbers will be limited. phone Linda 32063676
